The First Shoe

From the first line in a sketch to the final delivery to our customers, Les Deux’s focus has always been about optimising quality, to produce sophisticated yet simplistic fashion. This is reflected in all our apparel, including our footwear.
Our footwear production is in Portugal, a nation renowned for their expertise in leather and fur products. Among other things, Portugal is the sixth largest exporter of shoes and is the world’s second most expensive country to produce shoes. Portugal did not get this deserved reputation by an error, and Les Deux had good reason to choose Portugal for footwear.
The above information speaks volumes about our attitude to quality. Our footwear is handmade, meaning that love and engineering at present in every cut and stitch. The shoes are made from suede with soft rubber base and engraved “Les Deux” for that je ne sais quoi.
Our first shoes are named Hamilton and Albert respectively to pay tribute to the founding partners of Les Deux called Andreas von der Heide and Mathias Jensen. Hamilton range is made of leather, and is named in honour of Andreas’ first-born child. The suede shoes are named Albert in honour of Mathias’ first-born. Just like Hamilton and Andreas, our footwear is born with strong, bright future with many exciting opportunities over the horizons.
