Fits to the beat: Simon Rossen
Fits to the Beat translates denim into rhythm. We teamed up with drummer and musical director Simon Rossen and asked him to lay down two original tracks inspired by key styles in our denim collection. Each beat matches the feel of how they move. One’s a bit looser and more laid-back, the other is bolder with a heavy drop. Over a decade-long year career, Simon’s worked across TV, radio, studio sessions, and live shows with names like The Jonas Brothers, Kesi, Nicklas Sahl, and Sigrid. He’s been playing since the age of three and draws inspiration from hip-hop and R&B
“I started out in my mum’s basement with egg boxes on the wall for sound proofing. I’m now in my own professional studio with lots of drum kits – too many if I’m honest – and working with artists from all over the world, which is incredible.”
